A hillwalking holiday surrounded by the superb panorama of the Dolomites.

Live the mountain – Plose, Brixen

Enjoy a walk to one of the many mountain huts or climb to one of the many summits the Eisack valley has to offer. There are numerous walks you can undertake on the Plose mountain. The Dolomites, the Zillertaler Alps Glacier, even the Alps look near enough to touch. Use the BrixenCard for a free trip in the cablecar and admire the splendid views from the Plose. With a great variety of walks, your walking holiday in Brixen / St Andrä will be hard to forget!

Woody Walk, a family mountain walk ideal for prams takes you from the cable car station to the Rossalm with a host of stops for children on the way – a forest telephone, enormous woodcarvings of various animals, an area to go barefoot, a great day out for all the family.

The three summit tour. More experienced walkers can admire the Telegraph, the Pfannspitz and the Gabler – a breathtaking walk with spectacular views.

There are numerous tracks around St. Andrä to explore too. The route from Karnol to St Leonhard leads you through rolling hills and woods while looking down upon the vineyards around Kloster Neustift.

For the more adventurous among you, the Brixen Dolomiten Marathon in July starts from the Cathedral in the city centre and winds its way up to the Plose summit at 2.340 m. An unforgettable experience!

Whether it is a gentle hillwalk, a climb to the summit or a family day out you are looking for – we have it, so what are you waiting for?
