Winter fun in the Eisack valley 360° Winter holidays in St. Andrä / Brixen

Beginners and experienced skiers curve their way down well-prepared pistes at the Plose ski resort. Under the shining sun you have a magnificent view of a number of snow-decked mountains. A horse-drawn sleigh takes you up to the Rossalm, children can build a snowman. Tramp your way through the freshly fallen snow and enjoy the silence of the mountains. During Advent the Plose is a great attraction along with the Christmas market in Brixen. You can even hire a sledge and try out South Tyrols longest sledge run.

Have an eventful skiing holiday in St. Andrä / Brixen.

40 km of well prepared ski runs can be found on the sunny slopes of the Plose. If you want a challenge, try the 9 km long downhill run back to the cablecar known as the Trametsch, the longest downhill run in South Tyrol, you’ll be proud of yourself at the end of it. Cool snowboarders and freeriders can be found hanging out at the Plose Fun Park. For the smallest among you, the friendly ski teachers will teach you your first moves in Kinderland at the bottom station. For a snack, there are plenty of mountain huts with sunny balconies. The sun warming your face, tasty local dishes and a wonderful view of the Dolomite mountain tops, a perfect holiday in the making.

The Plose makes up part of „Skipass Eisacktal“ and „Dolomiti Superski: With one Skipass you can use a great number of slopes in the Eisack valley or in the various ski arenas of the Dolomites. Top quality ski clothing can be rented here. If you do have your own equipment Haus Bergheim has ist own Ski Depot with shoe-drier for your use.

From your holiday apartment in Haus Bergheim, you are on the slopes in next to no time. The bus stop for the ski bus is just 100 meters from the front door. In three minutes you are at the top of the mountain and then you are ready to enjoy your skiing adventure!

Sledging in Eisacktal

Why not go sledging? The longest sledge run in South Tyrol is right in front of your nose – a whole 10km of fun locally known as the „RudiRun“. The sledge run is split in two and starts from the top station of the Plose cablecar and finishes at the bottom station, the cablecar ride is free of charge with the BrixenCard. Another possibility is to walk up to the Rossalm and sledge back down – if there is enough snow of course. There is a sledge rental at the top station of the Plose cablecar.

And not only the children will have fun in the snow. Bergheim’s garden is the perfect place to build a snowman together or have a family snowball fight.

Glide over the Plose

Winter hillwalking with a spectacular allround view of the Dolomites.

Tour through the snow-covered mountains, a bright blue above you. Walking in winter at the Plose is nature pure.Take the cablecar to the top of the mountain (one return trip is free of charge with the BrixenCard) and then take one of the prepared winter tracks to the Rossalm, Ochsenalm or Schatzerhütte. Warm up on the sunny terrace and admire the breathtaking winter wonderland around you. You can also join a group and go snowshoeing (free of charge with the BrixenCard). During Advent there are special Christmas walks organised to put you in the Christmas spirit.

The adventurous among you can take a backcountry hike to the Gabler and look down on the snowcovered valley.

Brixen, all in white… Magical winter moments and the Christmas market in a historical setting

The Bishops city is a romantic backdrop in Winter. The trees are sprinkled with snow, lights shine in every window – a truly dreamy atmosphere. A stroll around the Christmas market in Brixen will get you into the Christmas mood. Smell the aroma of freshly baked biscuits and cinnamon, listen to some Christmas carols and admire the nativity scenes of paper, ebony and Tyrolean carvings which are exhibited by the Hofburg.

But don’t forget you can also leave the cold behind with a visit to the Sauna in the Acquarena or swim a couple of lengths in the indoor pool (a 3-hour ticket free of charge with the BrixenCard). The climbing arena Vertikale is also open and you are entitled to a 15% discount on the entry price with your BrixenCard. Enjoy the city in Winter too.
